Swim Drills

Perform drills to isolate and master various aspects of the stroke, one small piece at a time. Most drills can be used for more than one purpose. Whatever the drill, try to focus your attention on just one thing at a time.

Practice and master drill objectives mindfully. Perform new movement patterns slowly at first – maybe even out of the water – until you feel that you have perfected those movement patterns; then begin practicing the movements more quickly.
